The ASSE 6010 Medical Gas Systems Installer Certification is available for people with experience in the plumbing/piping fields who are qualified to install medical gas piping, equipment, and components at health care facilities.

Includes ASME IX Brazing Certification: The ASSE 6010 certification includes the ASME IX Brazing Certification, requiring candidates to pass both a written and practical brazing examination.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Minimum four years of documented practical experience in plumbing or mechanical piping system installation
  • Completion of a 32-hour training course covering ASSE Standard 6010 and ASME IX Brazing, instructed by an ASSE 6050 certified instructor
  • Successful passage of the written examination
  • Successful passage of the practical (ASME IX Brazing) examination
