Training is approved when it is delivered by an instructor holding current ASSE 6050 certification (ASSE 6055 for the bulk cryogenic certifications). MGTI verifies two things: that the instructor's certification was current when the training was delivered, and that you completed the training. Where both are evidenced, the training is approved — without regard to the provider that delivered it.
You are not required to take MGTI's own course, or the course of any particular provider. Training delivered by MGTI, by a provider affiliated with MGTI, or by a provider unconnected to MGTI is subject to the same two checks, on the same evidence, and the result is recorded in your file in every case. MGTI has approved training delivered by providers unaffiliated with it.
MGTI does not accredit, approve, appoint, or supervise training providers. The providers below are listed as a convenience to candidates. Listing is not an endorsement, and it confers no advantage toward certification.
MGTI may decline to approve training. If it does, you will be told in writing, with the reason relied on and the evidence considered, the decision will be recorded in your file, and you may appeal it.

Jonathan C. Willard chairs the MGTI Board of Directors. He is also the principal of Acute Medical Gas Services and the instructor of record for both AMG's in-person training and Medical Gas Certifications' online training. MGTI states this rather than leaving it to be discovered.
How it is managed. He makes no individual certification decision and holds no role in the certification decision chain. He takes no part, at any level, in an appeal or complaint concerning training he delivered or a provider in which he holds an interest — including the deliberation; the remaining members decide. Both providers are verified on the same two documentary checks as any other provider, on the same evidence, with the result recorded in the candidate's file. Certification decisions are made independently of the training process, by personnel who did not instruct the candidate. Completing either provider's training confers no advantage toward certification beyond the knowledge gained.
If you hold current ASSE 6050 certification, your training already counts toward MGTI certification — no agreement with MGTI is required, and none is offered.
